(Raburn Boyd Bennett) was drawn to the hip hop culture at an early age. He began rapping' in the late 80's and was eager to perform where ever he could find an audience. After graduating high school in Colquitt County GA (c.o.1989), Mello Moved to Tampa Fl. and signed his first recording contract with local record label Hit So Mo, where he went on to release one very successful album" Reality" as a member of The Hit List Posse and a successful EP " Right Now" as a solo artist.
After several years of performing and living' his dream, Mello was forced to give up on hip hop in order to take care of personal problems and a rapidly growing family.10 years later Mello decided to pick up the microphone again. Forming his own indie label, Smak-A-Trak in 2004 and soon after the same year merged with partner Nathan Ball (Ill P.) Forming Water 2 Wine and is currently signed with Holy Zone Records.
This time instead of chasing fame, money, and women, the focus was on GOD.
Mello realized that GOD had giving' him this gift to use to reach souls. He realized that the years spent in the world (the secular side of hip hop) was in preparation for the job he was about to do (take the gospel worldwide through hip hop music).
Mello has released four Christian albums "HIP HOP GOSPEL", "WARRIOR 4 CHRIST", "NEVER GOIN' BACK" and "IN THA CUT" and has been featured on many other albums & mix tapes.
He is available to minister at your church, outreaches, benefits and even jails...
